{"id":2114,"date":"2021-09-02T17:53:55","date_gmt":"2021-09-02T17:53:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/young.ca\/?page_id=2114"},"modified":"2021-09-02T20:11:47","modified_gmt":"2021-09-02T20:11:47","slug":"permits-applications-and-licenses","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/young.ca\/index.php\/permits-applications-and-licenses\/","title":{"rendered":"Permits, Applications and Licenses"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<!-- \/wp:post-content --><\/p>\n<!-- wp:heading {\"level\":3} -->\n<h3>Building Permits<\/h3>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><a href=\"https:\/\/young.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Do-I-need-a-building-permit-1.pdf\">Do I need a building permit?<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><a href=\"https:\/\/young.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/291-2019-Building-Bylaw.pdf\">Building By-Law<\/a><\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n<!-- wp:heading {\"level\":3} -->\n<h3>\u00a0<\/h3>\n<h3>Business Licenses<\/h3>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n<!-- wp:paragraph {\"textColor\":\"dark-gray\"} -->\n<p class=\"has-dark-gray-color has-text-color\">The Village of Young supports and encourages new businesses and strives to make the business license application process as convenient and expeditious as possible.<\/p>\n<p>Business Licenses are required when any business is conducted within the Village of Young.\u00a0 <em>The issuance of a Business License is dependent on being in compliance with several City department regulations.\u00a0 Some of these departments requiring approvals may involve Zoning, Building, Signage, Parking, Fire and Health departments.\u00a0 Regulations vary by type of business being conducted.<br \/><\/em><br \/>The owner of a business is required to contact all appropriate agencies for approvals and obtain a Business License prior to the business opening.\u00a0 Submitting these approvals along with the Business License Application will provide an expeditious approval of the license.<\/p>\n<p>The cost of a business license is dependent on the classification of the business as set out in the bylaw.\u00a0 Once obtained, the business license is valid for the calendar year and expires on December 31st of each year.\u00a0 Business licenses are not refundable.<\/p>\n<p>Inquiries for new business licenses or changes to current business licenses can be made to the Village Office at 306-259-2242.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><a href=\"https:\/\/young.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/69-1971-Business-Bylaw.pdf\">Business By-law<\/a><\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n<!-- wp:heading {\"level\":3} -->\n<h3>\u00a0<\/h3>\n<h3>Pet Licenses<\/h3>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n<!-- wp:paragraph {\"textColor\":\"dark-gray\"} -->\n<p class=\"has-dark-gray-color has-text-color\">Excerpt from Animal Control By-law:<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n<!-- wp:paragraph {\"textColor\":\"dark-gray\"} -->\n<p class=\"has-dark-gray-color has-text-color\"><em>LICENSING OF DOGS AND CATS<\/em><\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n<!-- wp:list {\"ordered\":true,\"textColor\":\"dark-gray\"} -->\n<ol class=\"has-dark-gray-color has-text-color\">\n<li><em>Licensing:<br \/>a. Every owner of a dog or cat that is over four (4) months old shall within thirty (30) days of becoming the owner obtain a license for each dog.<br \/>b. The license referred to in Subsection (a) shall not be transferable.<br \/>c. Every owner of a dog or cat shall, not later that the 15th day of January in each year, obtain an appropriate license for the dog or cat from the administrator of the Village of Young and failure to do so shall constitute an offense under the bylaw. No dog or cat license issued by the Village of Young in respect of a particular dog shall be transferable to another dog or cat.<br \/>d. The animal license year shall be from January 1 to December 31 of the same year.<br \/>e. When applying for a license under this Section, the owner shall provide the following:<br \/>i. a description of the animal, including breed, name, gender and age;<br \/>ii. a history of any rabies vaccinations for the animal and whether the animal has been spayed or neutered;<br \/>iii. the name, address and telephone number of the owner; and<br \/>iv. any other relevant information which may be required.<br \/>f. The owner shall be supplied with a current license tag and a receipt for payment of the license fee when a license is issued.<br \/>g. The annual license fee for each license shall be as set out in Schedule No. 1.<br \/>h.
